How do I know if I have house ants rather than another species?
The house ant, or odorous ant, gives off a characteristic smell of coconut or rot when crushed, which helps to identify it. It is small (2 to 3 mm), dark brown, and forms trails to sweet food sources in the kitchen. In Boucherville as in Sainte-Julie, it is often noticed near counters and pantries.
Why do house ants enter my home?
