Cracks in the platform paving were sealed with an epoxy mortar that is resistant to forklifts. The vegetation at the edge of the building has been cleared to a width of two metres, and gravel kerbs have been installed to deter earthworks by rodents. The caulking of the entry points was carried out over the entire perimeter, documented with photos and integrated into the warehouse’s technical file.
IPM Program and Staff Training
A comprehensive IPM program was deployed, including certified rodent monitoring stations along the indoor and outdoor perimeter, lighted insect traps in the cafeteria and food storage areas, and an electronic tracking device to generate automated reports for client audits. Receiving staff have been trained in inbound delivery inspection procedures, including checking packages for signs of pest activity.
